Poppy is a 3 year old female Terrier cross Dachshund. This lovely little girl was found very heavily pregnant living on the streets, extremely nervous and scared the rescue we work with managed to catch her. She was lucky enough to have a foster home secured, she was so scared when she came in and in such poor condition, she refused to come in the house and gave birth to five beautiful puppies the next morning under a bush, because she was so hungry they managed to tempt her with food into a crate and then put her and her babies inside.
Poppy named after the Poppy fields the foster home saw on her way with her was such a good mummy, her puppies are a credit to her and all are safely rehomed in UK they even have their own page on facebook which I am sure whoever adopts Poppy will want to join.
Poppy has come on leaps and bounds but is still a very quiet girl, quite shy when she first meets you but improving all the time, she will need a quiet home with one person or a couple she is never going to suit a busy family home, someone who has had a shy dog before who has suffered at the hands of man would be good, she is quite independent little dog probably because she has had to be, she is good with other dogs but not really bothered about them so would be fine as an only dog. She is not going to suit full time workers, she needs someone with lots of patience and love to show Poppy the world and its people some of us are good and worth trusting.
Poppy has been spayed, vaccinated, will have her own pet passport also.
