Dash is a 10 year old male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel cross Dachshund. He came into rescue with his buddy Toby, they were unclaimed strays so we have only a limited history. As they have very differing needs we will re home them separately but Dash does need to be re homed with at least one other similarly matched resident dog.
This little lad does have a heart murmur (2/3), he does not require medication at this point and is not suffering any symptoms. Unfortunately as we have no history for him we are unable to ascertain if this is a longstanding murmur. He coped with anesthetic without issue and is currently fit and well.
Dash loves a walk but at his age and with his little legs he is not up for running a marathon, a nice woodland walk or stroll to the park would be great for him, in order to maintain his heart for as long as possible regular exercise and maintaining a healthy weight is vitally important for him.
He would like new owners who are around for a good part of the day and a similarly matched resident dog is a must. He is fine to be re homed with older sensible children 10+ provided they are used to dogs. Dash does display an interest in felines so a very dog savvy cat or a cat free home for this lad please.
Dash has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. He has also had a full dental. He is currently being fostered in Ewhurst Surrey (GU6).
