Liza – An Energetic, Loyal Girl Looking for Her Perfect Match. Liza is a Ukraine war dog in need of a safe haven. Available under a foster-to-adopt.

Liza is a 1.5-year-old dachshund mix (most likely with Chihuahua), an energetic, playful, and loving girl who needs a home where she feels secure and understood. She arrived in the UK a month ago with her sister Sonia. While Sonia has settled well in her family, Liza was struggling with being around young children and needed to be moved. She is currently settling in Forfar, Scotland.

Why Liza Needs Help
Liza’s current foster family has tried everything to make her feel comfortable, but the presence of children and another dog makes her feel constantly on edge. She’s very protective of her sister Sonia and struggles with feeling overwhelmed by the presence of more than two people in the house.

Liza has shown signs of fear toward young children and can run away trying to snap, making her current home environment unsuitable. It’s a heartbreaking situation because Liza has formed a strong bond with her foster carer, but they recognise that the home environment is not right for her.

More About Liza
Liza is a loyal, energetic, and playful little girl who would flourish in a quiet, adult-only home where she can be the only pet or live with a calm, confident, small-medium male dog. She needs a calm environment without young children or multiple pets to feel safe and at ease.

Once Liza learns to trust you, she is an absolute sweetheart—full of energy, affection, and joy. She loves to play with her squeaky toys, chase and retrieve them, and snuggle up on a cosy lap when she’s tired. Going on two or three walks a day is her favourite thing, and she always greets her walks with enthusiastic excitement.

Liza can be left alone for short periods and manages well for up to three hours, but this will only work after she is fully settled and feels at home (2-3 weeks) or if she has another dog for company. Due to her high energy levels, she would be best suited to someone who works from home, providing her with the interaction and routine she craves.

Liza is smart, learns quickly, and thrives when given patience and love. While she hasn’t been cat-tested, her strong traits suggest she may do best in a cat-free home.

Ideal Home
Liza would thrive in a calm, child-free household with a single person or couple. She needs a loving, patient home where she can feel safe and understood, without the pressures of other dogs or children. Her ideal family will be able to provide her with plenty of walks, attention, and mental stimulation.

Liza is a bright, spirited girl who simply needs the right environment to flourish. If you can offer her a quiet home where she can feel safe and loved, Liza will reward you with unwavering loyalty and affection.

Health Information
Liza is fully healthy. Spayed. Has all core vaccines done and is microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before the trip (owners will receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).

RBU, post-adoption support, and 4 weeks free PetPlan insurance provided upon adoption.
