Dora is a 2 year old female Dachshund Cross. Dora is still looking for a new home. After being adopted six months ago she is sadly coming back to the rescue as she has become so reactive with dogs and strangers. As previously posted, this is most likely due to a guarding issues as she feels compelled to protect all that has become so dear to her. Dora came from a kill shelter in Bosnia and she was fabulous with people and other dogs during her time in assessment and indeed in her foster home when she arrived in the UK – so we know she can be again.
Dora lives with two other dogs and while she gets on great with both for the most part, she has started snapping at one of the more submissive dogs more recently. Dora would therefore suit home where she is an only dog or an experienced home used to dogs who can react in this way. Dora is around 18 months old now and she needs a forever home.
